A TYPICAL DAY BEING AN ADVENTURE CHICK AT TAHOE!!!

7:30-8:00… Open your eyes and get set for an adventurous fun filled day. Early risers may want to go for a sunrise walk or light stretch with an eager Adventure Staff member…we may have a visiting pup along for the stroll.

8:00-9:00…Leaders of the day will organize breakfast preparation. Choices this morning may be a healthy omelet made to order with whole grain toast/jam, hardy pancakes/syrup, yogurt with fruit/granola, smoothie, choice of cereal, oatmeal……..
Everyone will lend a hand with the clean-up so we can get on our adventurous way!

10:00-4:00… Activity choice of day may be:
A slow to moderate paced hike adventure up the granite rock trails of Shirley Canyon to see the wild flowers in bloom around Shirley Lake. A delicious burrito lunch and rest time on the rocks before we push just a bit further to reach our reward…High Camp at Squaw Valley USA with pools and Jacuzzi to soak in. We’ll take the cable car down then go for a stroll through the village at Squaw Valley before we head home.
Or………………
Maybe we’ll meet up with Tahoe City Kayak Tours where we will be fit with life-vests, paddles and professional instruction for an incredibly scenic tour on clear blue Lake Tahoe. It’s never a race, just good fun learning to maneuver a kayak while enjoying the breathtaking views along the lake shore. A packed lunch on the beach may be the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy a swim and an overstuffed wrap with our favorite fixings.

4:00-8:00…If tonight is Wednesday we’ll be getting ready to listen to some live music at Truckee’s own Regional Park. We’ll pack a nutritious picnic dinner, maybe grilled veggies with couscous, salmon or chicken breasts and an assortment of dessert snacks as we relax on the grass or show off some new dance moves to some entertaining local tunes. This is always a great time! Our summer weather is absolutely glorious. The local crowd is family fun; our guides love this!
Other evening activities may include our learn to Hip Hop Dance night, Knit night, Instructed Self-Defense Course, Outdoor Movie and popcorn at Squaw Valley, Miniature Golf laughs…There is Always something fun to do!!!

8:00-9:00…Finally home and beat after a fun-filled and adventurous day! Let’s get together for a circle rap session to discuss our accomplishments and concerns today or if we’re all tired we’ll have some low music and one-on-one time to discuss personal nutritional needs or…life. Although we are on the go a lot there is plenty of time to slow down enough to appreciate this incredible area, read a book, practice our new beading or knitting skills.
